Yossi Sela

Yossi Sela is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Gemini. A prominent member of the Israeli venture capital arena, Yossi sits on the boards of Gemini portfolio companies JFrog (NASDAQ: FROG) and Minute Media . Yossi has played a pivotal role in the investment life cycles of Allot Communications (NASDAQ: ALLT), Saifun Semiconductors (NASDAQ SFUN), Commtouch (NASDAQ: CTCH), Precise (NASDAQ PRSE), Ornet Data Communication Technologies, Outbrain (NASDAQ: OB) and Samanage, in addition to the sale of both Adap.tv (sold to AOL, NYSE: AOL) and PrimeSense (sold to Apple, NASDAQ:AAPL) among others, during his more than two decades at the fund.

Prior to joining Gemini Yossi served as Vice President of Marketing at DSP Group (NASDAQ: DSPG), and later DSPC a spin-off of DSP Group that also made a NASDAQ debut and later acquired by Intel. He began his high-tech career as a marketing manager at Daisy Systems in the Silicon Valley.

Yossi spent ten years in an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces, reaching the rank of Major. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Yossi is the Chairman of Bridges Israel, investing in high growth, high impact Israeli companies. Yossi serves on the investment Committee of  Kamatech as well as on the Managing comitee of the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute of the Technion, as a Board member of the Technion R&D Foundation, and as a member of both the Board of Trustees and MBA Steering Committee in The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo.

In 2006, Yossi was named number one venture capitalist on the Forbes Israel Midas list, and appeared on the global Forbes Midas list that same year.
