Challenge addressed

The transportation sector contributes approximately one quarter of all energy related carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere and is growing faster than any other sector. The electrification of transportation will have significant climate benefits.

Investable Solution

Addionics is building a unique 3D current collector paired with proprietary battery cell modelling software to optimize battery structure and performance. Addionics’ unique architecture has shown a substantial uplift in battery performance. Results indicate over 50% reduction of charging time, increased usage time between charging intervals, 150% longer battery life cycle, better control of temperature and use of less materials (increased energy density).

 

Addionics is operating in one of the fastest growing markets in the world. With a strong IP and an innovative approach that focuses on battery physics, Addionics’ low-cost drop-in solution is creating a superior high power and high energy battery, without compromises.

Impact thesis

Addionics powered EVs is projected to charge faster, enjoy longer charging intervals and be safer to use which has the power to reduce some of the key barriers for the electrification of transportation and accelerate its wide adoption. Additionally, Addionics’ solution is chemistry agnostic and can improve the performance of Nickle and Cobalt free batteries, enabling its scalability. Finally, with up to 150% longer lifetime, Addionics batteries also mean significantly less waste and material use per energy unit.
